Terri Myhre to fill vacant seat on council.


There were six applicants for the position and all were asked to respond in writing with their background and opinion on issues facing the council.

The others were: Wayne West, Mary Johnson, Jerry Bottelberghe, Jordyce Groeneweg and Bill Ufkin.

“Everyone responded well,” said Mayor Tony Esping.

The position was vacant because Esping moved to the mayor’s chair upon the death of Mayor Paul Larson.

Myhre will serve until the November general election. If she intends to remain on the council she’ll have to file and run for the position.

There will be three council chairs open plus the mayor’s office in November’s election.
